Borussia Dortmund’s decision to sack Thomas Tuchel last week just days after guiding the club to a DFB-Pokal cup win in Berlin over Eintracht Frankfurt was seen as a decision which had been coming for a good couple of months, given the breakdown of the relationship between Tuchel himself and CEO Watzke ever since the Dortmund team bus was subject to a bomb attack before their Champions League game in April.  Continue reading “Dortmund hire Peter Bosz as new manager”

The time I went to Borussia Dortmund

Jurgen Klopp is my favourite manager in World Football and his Borussia Dortmund team were one of my favourite sides ever. The club in general have always fascinated me, with their yellow wall of fans, who travel in their thousands to every game across Germany and turn their home ground, the Signal Iduna Park, into a cauldron of noise and intimidation. Taking this in to account, I took the opportunity to go and see them play Bayern Munich in the German Supercup in 2014. If you ever get the opportunity to go and see Dortmund play at home, do it.
